Position: Community Outreach Specialist Industry: Elections Office Location: Winter Haven Hours: Monday - Friday 8AM- to 5PM (Willing to work occasional overtime and weekend) Pay Rate: $15/hr Top Reasons you would love to work for the Elections Office: No experience required Training provided Medical Benefits Vision and Dental Insurance Life Insurance Short-Term Disability PTO Outreach Specialist Job Responsibilities: Assists in coordinating outreach participation with internal team members Develop reporting criteria to measure effectiveness Represents division in multiple settings Prepares, develops, (re)assesses, and carries out community outreach program activities throughout the County and reports on activity, engagement, and the ability to assist in connecting residents to services Explores opportunities to promote programs in additional settings What will you need as an Outreach Specialist? Excellent face-to-face customer service skills Excellent written communication skills Physically able to lift 15 pounds (such as a case of bottled water) Can adapt to a fast-changing situation Detail-oriented, computer software proficient Willing to work some overtime and weekends when needed Must be able to pass a background check and a 5 panel drug test
